Evans Machinery Acquires Midwest Automation Countertop and Postforming Division

As you know, we have found great success over the past few years acquiring American made machinery brands and bringing them back to the market. This morning we signed an agreement to further this pursuit through the acquisition of the Countertop Machinery Division of Midwest Automation. The machines included in this deal include the Signature Saw, CorFab Machines, Countertop Laminating Machines, Post Forming Machines, and Coving Machines in addition to a few auxiliary Countertop Production machines. All manufacturing will be moved to our Holland, MI plant.

The purchase will serve to expand the Evans Machinery’s offerings to customers in the countertop production industry through North and Central America under the name Evans Midwest. For years, the Evans Machinery line has catered to smaller countertop shops, and this acquisition allows us to enhance our offerings to more automated, high volume customers.

“The Midwest brand is a premier, American made machinery line. This acquisition complements our overall machinery offering so we can now provide more automated and efficient American made machinery to the countertop production industry. This investment in the expanded Evans Midwest brand represents our commitment to building machinery in the United States and our belief in the great people that we employ to build our machinery,” said Don Mulder, president of Balanced Enterprise Solutions.

We look forward to working with our customers to support their machines and to develop new automated machinery solutions in the future.
